Volunteers who will be involved in the project of the A. Mantegna Institute will have the opportunity to meet with teachers operating in different areas, who have been doing this job for many years, who have proven experience with young people and who are aware of how important it is also the motivational aspect in carrying out its activities and tasks.

Many of the teachers are directly involved in some mobility projects for both young people and themselves, demonstrating how many teachers in the school are active protagonists of a growth path, also at European level.

VANHAMÄKI is an activity centre and an organic farm situated in Suonenjoki in central Finland. The centre produces organic berries and vegetables and the products are also sold in the little shop. Vanhamäki provides different kinds of activities for visitors and runs an organic farm, and a foster home. Vanhamäki also has a lunch restaurant, which is famous for its delicious food, using organic and local ingredients as much as possible. In addition, Vanhamäki provides various activities and work for people who have fallen out of the job market.

Volunteer’s role and tasks: The tasks of the volunteers vary according to the season: from spring to the autumn time the volunteers’ work is focused mostly on organic farming, working outdoors planting and harvesting the crops. The volunteers assist in different kinds of tasks, both outdoors and indoors, such as making organic products, social media tasks, and maintenance work of the park area. Volunteers can also assist, according to their skills, in planning and carrying out events at Vanhamäki. The volunteers can also carry out tasks in the office and kitchen of Vanhamäki as well as help or assist in the making and arranging of the activities and work for people who have fallen out of the job market.

2 volunteering offers in North West of France The “Conseil départemental de la Manche” is a local government located in the Normandy region in north-western France. We are looking for 2 strong motivated volunteers to support our youth assembly called the Youth Council (“Conseil Départemental des Jeunes”) for 10 months between September 2022 and June 2022. The Youth Council is an assembly of “junior delegates” (60 maximum) who are between 11 and 15 years old. The Youth Council was launched at the end of 2018 to prepare teenagers to become citizens and to take an active role in the local community. The participants develop and implement at least four projects of their choosing during a period of 2 years. For this purpose, they are divided into the following four thematic committees : entrepreneurship and work, living well together, a digital world, environment and biodiversity. You will support the first year of the Youth Council.

Activities take place in Saint-Lô (about 19 000 inhabitants). You will be in a host family during the first two weeks of the volunteering activities in order to adjust to the new environment. Later you will share a big furnished flat with other volunteers near the city centre. The volunteering activity is free of charge for the volunteer. You will receive stated pocket money each month (6 €/day) to cover day-to-day living expenses and support for return travel to and from the project, a medical and house insurance, a bus pass, and up to 40€/month for travelling during free time.

Dublin Simon Community works to prevent and address homelessness across capital city of Dublin, and east coast of Ireland. The aim is to empower people to access and retain a home of their own. Dublin Simon Community has a well-established volunteering programme, volunteers are at the core of the work we do within the community. Volunteers work alongside professional staff members to provide vital services to people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless. Volunteer placement is in Client Development, organising activities with service users in the different emergency, housing and treatment services.

The practical team gives people with fewer opportunities the chance of learning how to work. This includes basics like working under a schedule or following specific work instructions. But also more practical knowledge about tools, constructing or secure work gear. The team spends its work days mainly outside, in any weather conditions. Because here in Sweden we say there is no bad weather, only bad clothing. As a volunteer you will work in the team but you will also learn about social work and are encouraged to lead the team. The team members change from month to month and the target groups differ. There might be Swedish interns or short-term international volunteers as well as people who need work training before they are able to enter the labour market. You will have a mentor and supervisor who will be the responsible persons for your project and tasks on a daily basis.

Volunteering activity in Rakvere, Estonia

We support youth initiative and collaboration. The main goal of the Rakvere Open Youth Center through the activities and services

offered i s to support young people's development and to develop values and a healthy attitude towards life in young people. The worldview of experienced young people gained through activities and exchanges is really important.

The youth center is a place where young people get opportunities and support to realize their ideas. Youth worker s are always there, and young people can ask them for help if necessary. Youth workers create various events and gatherings together with young people. In previous years, we've hosted several long-term volunteers and also carried out short-term volunteering teams projects in cooperation with local school and other institutions.

As a volunteer, you will have the possibility to engage in a diverse range of activities of the youth centre. All the activities will be discussed in team meetings, and you're given a chance to initiate some activities of your own. The youth centre helps you to connect with several other local institutions (e.g. schools, vocational schools, music school s, kindergartens) to create activities together. Your main tasks in the youth centre include working in the open area, socializing with Ukrainian and Estonian kids, helping to carry out summer camps (malev) and summer activities.

SZATYOR ASSOCIATION – ETYEK PROJECT

You will be supporting our team in Etyek, taking part in the daily activities connected to promoting sustainability, supporting local youth work and community development in the village. Main task around these topics:

– providing support in organizing workshops, farm visits, kids’ camp international camps and trainings

– being involved in hands-on gardening with community approach and composting activities

– promoting sustainable solutions for locals in Etyek, also for the local school and kindergarden

– creating posters, photos and different visuals regarding your work and share knowledge on related topics

– taking part in strengthening intercultural community activities

LEARNING COLLABORATION – 2023 NYIM ECO COMMUNITY

The community aims to find an ecologically, socially and economically balanced way of living. It is in a partnership with GEN Europe, and currently is working on strengthening local and regional networking. There is a community owned enterprise where main activities are bookbinding, art, and organising educational events.

Volunteers can participate in the community’s activities such as:

reforestation project: planting and nurturing trees according to permaculture principles

Fülemüle in Etyek is an association that is committed to the artistic and cultural education of local youth.

Our after-school centre ensures professional childcare and even the possibility to pick up kids from school and take them to their extracurricular activities. Children are supervised, safe and ensured with plenty of interesting activities. Main purposes of the after-school centre are: help to shape a young person’s conscious personality; to provide an early vocational guidance and non-formal education; to help parents, resulting in calmer working days and increased added value; high-quality childrens’ free time while strengthening their social skills and emotional intellect. Youth Leisure Centre

The activities of the Youth Leisure Centre are aimed at all young people age 14 to 29. Particular attention is paid to working with young people with fewer opportunities from incomplete, more economically disadvantaged families at social risk, as well as those with learning and socialization disabilities. The center is actively involved in project activities both nationally and

internationally. Volunteer at the Youth Leisure Centre will help organise informal meetings with young people: discussions, music improvisation sessions, cooking, table tennis tournaments, board games, movie nights. Inspire the Change

Individual 9 months volunteering opportunity for two young people in youth NGO Outward Bound Croatia. We deliver outdoor experiential learning courses, facilitate learning by doing and organize international projects for youth within Erasmus+ and ESC framework. The project aims at improving the accessibility to, and promote, the European mobility programs for youth through the positive example set by the foreing volunteers hosted; To promote inclusion and reciprocal acceptance between Sardinian society, and foreing immigrant communities; To advocate for the recognition of the importance of youth work and of non formal learning. Beautiful environment with excellent teachers and educators. Ability to take part in preschool life (1.5-6 years) old children to be there and support them in their first words spoken and games learned. Not to be there only for younger ones, volunteers will support afterschool activities (14:00-17:00) for 1st to 6th-grade young learners. There are opportunities for art/sport/culture/language/robotics/Lego/dance and other workshops for children. It is about the initiative and interests of volunteers, so the sky somehow is the limit, and finance of course. The school is located in a rural area of Latvia, it is a safe and inspiring environment, with many natural surroundings. Volunteers need to be prepared to join forest activities with children. We are flexible about volunteers' stay, it can be from 6 months up to 10 months and we can discuss it over the interview.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

All by ESC rules. Volunteers will share a flat with another volunteer (so it is 2 volunteers in total). Will have a separate bedroom, shared kitchen, living room and bathroom. Flat has all there might be needed (washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, iMac for some movie screening :) Travel is covered as by ESC rules based on distance as calculated in the Erasmus+ distance calculator. There is no need for public transport in Preili, volunteer has access to a bike if needed. And a great opportunity to find or create entertainment within a rural place, with limited options.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Volunteers receive on-arrival training from NA and ongoing support from preschool and school teachers and the community around us. Additionally, there are meetings with the project coordinator to set learning goals and aims for learning in all aspects (personal, professional, interpersonal). Some volunteers after the project have become excellent preschool teachers who went to study this field at the university, some took totally different paths, but all have learned and developed.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The person who likes kids is open and outgoing in learning to communicate and jump into action. Likes the outdoors and is not afraid of the wind, snow and unexpected darkness at 4 pm in December. A person who wants to experience some type of mild nordic weather living, meet spring with open arms and experience a summer of the unknown. If you feel ready for action and learning with some active and creative, kids, then this is for you.

The association would like to host a volunteer for a project of 8 months in Ventalon en Cevennes. The volunteer will take part in cultural and social activities of the association. He/she will have the opportunities to participate and create activities for young people, localised in mountains, south of france. The aim of the project is to facilitate intercultural exchanges between the volunteers and the local community. As an important social association in support of youth projects, its activities will be to promote this service and to create and run workshops for young people. You will have also the opportunity to participate like an animator at the youth exchange organised for this Summer 2023 in Lozere ! This projects is about an audiovisuel project based on a hike, in Lozere mountains for 2 weeks with spain and italian partners.. Most of the volunteer's activities will be related to European youth work and social work ! You must have a DRIVER'S LICENSE for this volunteering !

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The volunteer's working time will be a maximum of 30 hours per week. The working time of the Epi de Mains association is flexible and must be adapted to events (activities and events often at weekends). Accommodation will be provided with the volunteer as several roaming possibilities can be offered. The structure is located in the mountains and at high altitude (910m), and far from all amenities and villages. The volunteer will have to plan accordingly to the climate (heat, heavy rains), the equipment adapted to the seasons. The volunteer will receive a monthly allowance of 184 euros.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Animation of the social networks of the association and updating of our website, assistance in the preparation of summer-autumn events at Espinas, meetings and workshops with young people from the international camp during the summer, support for the preparation of the youth exchange project: communication and information, participation in the youth exchange stay on the Stevenson Trail, help with the "environment" activities of the association, meeting and exchanges with local solidarity structures.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The Epi de Mains association wishes to have a European volunteer in its team in order to bring additional skills, and a European openness, in particular to the local community that we receive in our structure. Candidates must have basic knowledge of French preferably, and/or English. Their motivation, their ability to bring enthusiasm during their interventions, especially with young people and their understanding of pedagogy and contact will be important criteria. Taking initiatives and coming up with new ideas will be highly appreciated. He must have a driver's license.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Proyecto Kieu is an association based in the village of Numancia de la Sagra. In the last 10 years we have been creating projects for the young people in our area so they could have more opportunities for personal development and growth. One of our biggest project is the Youth centers we manage in the nearby towns. A youth center is a place where young people(14 till 24 years old) can hang out, participate in free time activities, learn and create. These are also the places where we organize most of our projects. Now we are looking for a volunteer to organize and lead arts workshops with the local group of youngsters *support the English learning of the local youth exchange group, to design visual materials related with our main activities - posters, videos, publications, support us in the organization of specific events and activities, promote volunteering and European programs, occasionally help us with administration and office maintainance.

We are looking for volunteers that like arts, that are crafty and motivated to lead art activities. You don't have to be very experienced or a real artist, but it is important to like to create things and open for innovation. As the volunteer will be collaborating in a youth center in a village where the bigger part of the population speaks Spanish only, it is important that you are motivated to learn the language. The type of work our organization does requires that the chosen volunteer has good social skills and is open to lead activities, organize groups and chat with the locals.

Help develop the cultural openness of young pupils and students from rural areas and participate in their learning of citizenship and tolerance. Support their curiosity on intercultural aspects and encourage them to discover Europe! Become a volunteer in the training centre for teenagers and young people who are not familiar at all with Europe in the rural area surrounding the city of Le Mans. This project involves 6 volunteers from 6 different European Union countries. Each one of them will volunteer in one of the 6 local training centres for teenagers from the area of Sarthe, France.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The volunteer will be accommodated in Le Mans, with the other 5 volunteers taking part in this project. They will live in a house next to the train station in Le Mans, not far from the city center. Each volunteer will have his own room in this big house, and they’ll all share the common parts. There is a garden, the house is fully furnished, and was renovated last year. Accommodation and transportation fees are under the responsibility of the host organization. Money will be given to the volunteer every month to cover food expenses, as such as pocket money.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Volunteers will participate in the arrival and mid-term meetings. One of the challenges of this project is to bring Europe in rural areas toward pupils that have no knowledge at all about Europe and its country.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Living in the EU, being motivated, between 18 and 30 years old, driving license required, interested in youth work, education, europe and intercultural topics, willing to learn french. The MFR is located on rural area so the volunteer should have a driving license and be ready to take the train every day for 45 minutes to go and to come back home. Candidates should be motivated, ready to work in a team, flexible, creative, open-minded, pro-active, dynamic, communicative, and interested in working with teenagers and young people.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Two French organisations, Bouillon Cube and the Communauté de Communes du Pic St Loup, are hosting 2 European volunteers to lead socio-cultural activities in the village of Causse de la Selle. The missions are as follows: - participate in the mediation and organization of cultural events at La Grange and Pic Saint Loup (organization of the cultural season of Bouillon cube, organization and animation of artistic education actions, promotion of the activities and involvement of local players) - lead awareness activities in a formal or non-formal educational contexts, with an audience of 11 to 25 year olds - to promote international mobility and talk about their experience as ESC volunteers to young people aged 16 to 25 - to take part in various events and projects of the host associations Each volunteer is given the opportunity to take the initiative and to develop and invest in activities that interest them personally.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Volunteers will have a 35 hours / week schedule, including weekends. They will have two days off per week, and also two days off per month. Volunteers will be accommodated on the Causse de la Selle in a caravan, with a shared bedroom. They will have access to a common room (where they can eat, rest, cook,...) and a shared bathroom. The toilets are outside, in the garden (dry toilets). They have a car at their disposal and can carpool (no public transport). The volunteer receives pocket money and his/her food allowance at the beginning of each month, and manage his/her budget independently.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Set up your project around Europe and interculturality ! Awareness-raising, initiation and practice activities with and for different audiences, related to the following themes: European Solidarity Corps, European mobility, linguistic diversity, cultural, artistic and sports activities. Activities can more specifically be organized with the following audiences: trainees from vocational training in the social and educational fields, young people from the Prés d'Arènes neighborhood, young trainees from social and education work in Montpellier, looking for an international internship, wishing to carry out a volunteer or solidarity project within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps. The volunteer is also invited to produce materials on his or her CES volunteering experience, according to his or her profile, skills and desires.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

A collective housing will be privileged with all the conditions of comfort and safety and respect for the intimacy of each person. The volunteer will receive an amount of money for food, pocket money and a transport card to move around the city.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

There will be language workshops / French language courses, using the Online Language Support (OLS) platform proposed by the CES, and a weekly language support. Assessment of the skills and activities will be established with a weekly support time, with the creation of the Youthpass certificate and the Europass language passport. Specific training and support from the team can be organized according to the profile, needs and wishes of the volunteer.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The participant should be open to discover new cultures, to get involved in a collective project, to share, learn, take initiatives. The participant needs to be autonomous and proactive. He should have interest for community projects, non-formal education, social work and the CEMÉA's educational project. Experience in a collective project, whether in the educational, social or cultural field, will be a plus. No specific competencies are required.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The aim of the library is to meet cultural needs of the society and to promote reading in various ways. As lately the libraries may be the only cultural centre in some of the districts of the city it has a second role as well – to promote cultural activities and enable all members of local society to participate in them. Volunteers will work with the local community in one branch of the City Public Library in Gdynia, helping the librarians with typical librarian tasks and supporting the organization of cultural activities. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Our long-term goal is to build the foundation for children and youth to have the same opportunities and be on an equal level educationally, personally and socially. Our project can be summarized in two words: INCLUSION and DIVERSITY. In our sociaty is a lot of children from other countries and children with disabilities. Their progress in the education system is very low. They often repeat a grade and integration in the common work is very limited. Our aim is to increase the level of participation in educational activities. We also want young people to be aware of the ENVIRONMENT and respect nature. Through the work of our organisations we are facing the challenges of the degradation or pollution of our nature. We will raise awareness among the children and our sociaty. Through this project they will learn new technological skills and become more comfortable with DIGITAL TOOLS.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

First of all, financial information. You will receive 200€ per month for your food expenses. In addition, you will receive 122€ per month for personal expenses. In addition, you will be reimbursed for your travel expenses to Slovenia and back home, up to a total of 275€. You will have an accommodation with a single room. The accommodation will be decent, equipped and personal. From its location you can easily get to your workplace.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

The ESC requires the volunteer to follow language courses on the platform created for this purpose. There are English courses or courses in the language of the country where volunteer is working. There are two mandatory training courses, one on arrival (On-Arrival training) and one during the volunteer period (Mid-Term Training), both organized by the National Agency. There are various training courses offered by the Salto platform which concern multiple fields of action. Volunteer must complete a Youthpass certification with the help of mentor.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Participants must be motivated to work in schools and have to enjoy working with children. They have to be open to diversity of children. Another important feature is empathetic engagement and maturity. The volunteer must be respectful in all circumstances. Open and accepting of others. Ready for challenges and self-initiative. They are interested in environmental issues and especially likes to learn new ways of using digital tools. The level of education is not important and in the selection of the candidate will be made by the enthusiasm and desire to participate in our project activity.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The aim of this project is to promote international mobility and intercultural dialogue throughout activities that will create a link between the volunteers and the local community. Main activities : -English workshops: every week, the volunteers organize an english workshop open to everyone! If you want to, you can also organize a workshop in another language. -Intercultural workshops: Create or participate in some workshops to to allow young people to discover the theme of interculturality -Forum "INTEX": with other volunteers, you will be going to different places to promote international mobility to youngsters. -Communication: You will help gathering written and/or video testimonies from the volunteers abroad, make posts on social medias, some visuals and other forms of communication (podcasts, booklet etc). -Development of Community Life : Animation of workshops and intercultural activities. Co-organization of local events to dynamise the organisation (game nights etc)

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

- Transportation: As part of an ESC project, you will have a travel grant for your journey to France. The amount is based on the distance. You will be reimbursed up to this amount by presenting us the invoices, boarding passes and other tickets for your travel. - Food : you will receive a monthly grant for food and pocket money. The grant is around 340€ - Accomodation: we take care of accomodation and you will live either in a studio flat or a shared flat

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

During your stay in France you will participate to an On Arrival Training organized by our National Agency as well as a pre departure at the end of your volunteering. You will also be able to participate in a training course or as a youth leader in a youth exchange!

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

We expect you to be motivated in the projects that we carry and willing to develop your skills and live an increible experience in France! As we are working on international mobility and interculturality, we also expect you to have an interest in those fields and to be open-minded. Our main activities are in french, so you will need to have a good level in French to be able to communicate with the youngsters (most of them do not speak english well). Of course, english is useful as well to communicate with our european partners!

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Apprentis d’Auteuil is a Foundation composed of more than 200 youth centers. Its goals are to welcome, educate, train and insert more than 30,000 young people in distress and accompany their families. We help them to gain confidence in themselves and the adult world. We develop the individual talent and personal skills of each young person and help them to find their place both professionally and personally. Your main task will be to support disadvantaged families and young people in their extracurricular life, training, leisure and integration. You will : - Set up activities/workshops/games for children and their parents on the themes of the environment, ecology, digital technology, food, etc. - Set up times of exchange, information and awareness (workshops, games, presentations, debates, etc.) on different themes related to international issues and education for citizenship and international solidarity - Contribute to the setting up of a welcoming, friendly and warm space

During your mission, you will receive a monthly financial compensation for pocket money, food and public transportation. You will be autonomous to do your shopping, prepare and eat your meals.The Maison des Familles is equipped with a kitchen. All of these details will be mentionned in the volunteer agreements. It will vary depending of the length of the mission. The organisation will provide an accommodation for the future volunteer. The holidays will be positioned on the days when the structure is closed. The mission is located in a rural area, in a small town of 6000 inhabitants

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

The French national agency for ESC projects will run 2 seminars in which the volunteer will be invited to take part. Also, you will have access to the OLS platform which offers online french trainings during your mission. Apprentis d’Auteuil also provides training such as « how to animate an activity on education for citizenship and international solidarity ».

We are looking for a volunteer who is willing to work in a team and is able to make proposals. The candidate must be motivated to work with young people in difficulty. The volunteer must be willing to share his/her culture and meet other people. This mission is particularly suitable for any candidate who is willing to open up to others and to have human relations, to discover the professions of the social sector. EUROPEAN DIALOGUES FOR PEACE AND INCLUSION

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The project aims at using storytelling and experiences for a better and united future address the problems of social exclusion, discrimination and various forms of inequality, promoting the policies and programmes of the European Union, disseminating the voices and experiences of those who work in these fields and who promote with their own initiatives new forms of innovation strategies focused on social inclusion and the education and involvement of young people. At the same time, the event will promote a coherent and effective cooperation between the participants. We can create a network of realities that can spread the themes of memory, identity, tolerance and cultural heritage among young people in Europe. You will work on organizing this event with different activities. Others daily routine: assisting administrative tasks, conducting research and writtings projects, project meetings, organizing local events, attending and/or organizing trainings, workshops, social networks...

Permaculture Project in Mallorca

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Tree planting, tree care and lots of watering in the summer. In addition you will be given time to grow your own veggie garden. Excursions will be made to other permaculture projects and fincas and you will also have to create your own project. First language will be english, though you can practise Spanish with the Youth in Permaculture.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Accommodation is self contained for three volunteers on the farm and includes independent internet and Netflix. Kitchen includes freezer and washing machine. A food allowance is given following Erasmus guidelines and you will be taken shopping once a week. In addition we will cook for you once a week. Transport for free time - Llubi train station is a 10-15 min walk from the farm.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

We will teach you what needs to be done here but the excursions are also learning experiences to give you as broad a view in permaculture practises as possible. We are happy to teach you all we can in any subjects you have a particular interest in. Also the Youth in Permaculture meets here are a combination of social and learning.

We are looking for young people with fewer opportunities who have a passion for the environment or nature and are willing to learn. Volunteers have to be aware that it can be very hot here in the summer.

Creative leisure and cultural diversity in Sweden

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Our project aims to, with the help of volunteers from other cultures, offer creative leisure engagements to the participants in our youth activities in the municipality of Sundsvall, that originates from their needs and interests. The basis for these activities is that everybody is welcome, regardless of ethnical and socioeconomically background, physical or psychological disability, religious outlook, gender and sexual orientation. A solidarity approach will saturate all activities that the volunteers will participate in or operate themselves. In short terms the project aims to increase all youth’s participation and engagement in their own leisure time on a local social level. In the long term we expect the volunteers to influence the activities with their own experiences and knowledge from their respective countries, in order to strengthen the young people's views on democracy and European citizenship. We think this will improve their ability to meet social challenges.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The volunteers are accomodated in a 4 room apartment, each having their own room and one room för common activities. The apartment is fully equipped with a kitchen and bathroom. The volunteer will get about 4300 SEK/month for food and private expenses. The volunteers can also eat occasionally in the venues they work in. Trips to and from Sundsvall, Sweden, in order to join the project, will be booked and paid for by the receiving organization. The volunteers are expected to participate in the pre-arrival and midterm seminar arranged by the national organisation.

Learning Swedish language with SFI (Swedish for immigrants). The volunteers are expected to participate in the on-arrival and midterm seminar arranged by the Swedish NA.

The volunteer should of course have a big interest in people in general and particularly in young people. He/she should be intereseted in filming, organizing, working with children with disabilities.The volunteer should be able to work independently and he/she should be motivated. At the same time the volunteer should have a genuine interest in his/her own achieving in learning new things and to be a promoter for Erasmus+ program and youth policies in Europe. “Lousame European volunteer project 2023”

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The project will be developed in the municipality of Lousame (province of La Coruña) from April to February (10 months). Lousame is a rural municipality with a geographical area of 93 km² and 3,350 inhabitants. Throughout the year, the entity organizes different cultural activities (summer camps...), social activities ( activities at the Day Center, activities with the elderly...), sports, etc. It is intended that the two volunteers collaborate in the proposed activities, providing the different blocks of activities with personal support. The tasks of the two volunteers will be developed mainly in the field of youth and social services, although they will also carry out volunteer work in the field of culture, sports, etc. We believe that these volunteer activities are an excellent learning experience in the field of non-formal education, in which the young people who participate improve or acquire skills for their personal, educational and professional development.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The accommodation of the two volunteers will be in a house or in an apartment shared by the two volunteers near the place of activities. The two volunteers will be given an amount of money for support. During the proyect, an employee of the town hall will accompany the volunteers to the transfer from the accommodation to the place of the activities and once finished they will be transferred to the place of accommodation. A bicycle will also provide to each volunteer to travel to the activities.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Volunteer tasks will be coordinated and supervised by the coordinator. There will be direct communication between then and they will have periodic meetings. Participating volunteers will be provided with linguistic training through the online platform created for this purpose (Erasmus+ OLS) and will be provided with support to resolve any questions they may have.

"Educating City", long-term volunteering in Murcia

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

With our Proyecto Santomera - Ciudad Educadora we offer a volunteering project to work transversally with different councils of the municipality, looking for educational spaces that could develop the city and enrich our community with the involvement of our citizens. One of the lines of the project involves the collaboration and development of public initiatives from the Department of Education, Childhood and Good Government; and from the Department of Youth and Culture. Our objectives would be: - Encourage reading, especially among the youngest, through creative initiatives. - Convert the Municipal Library into a cultural space of reference. - Encourage children and adolescents’ participation in the municipality, generating spaces for the involvement of the community. - Promote historical heritage, from a perspective of value and relevance. - Develop cultural initiatives of public interest, giving value to the talent of local artists.

Open Call for the EcoACT project in Romania

The current project aims to promote knowledge, skills and eco-friendly attitudes among

youth while also aiming to provide local youth community development and empowerment

by supporting youth to take action, be pro-active and get involved in pushing for eco-friendly

actions (like cleaning up affected areas) and behaviors (adopting reduce/reuse/recycle

behaviors). The project will allow for youth leadership, foster social engagement while also

helping the municipality and high schools bring the issue of environmentally friendly

behaviors to the spotlight of public attention.

Travel: ACT will purchase flight tickets while the Sending Organisation will to make sure

that the volunteer is well informed, has all documents and gets safely on board.

Local transport: will be covered by ACT, upon arrival they will receive info on how to

use public transport, a map of the transit lines etc.

Accommodation: ACT will host the volunteers in rented apartments in the city of

Bailesti. Each accommodation will assure good living conditions (private beds, equipped

kitchen and bathroom, heating system, running cold/ hot water, Wi-Fi).Please note that

you will share the room (2 volunteers per room, separate single beds).

Working programme: working hours are flexible and adapted to the schedule of the

target institutions and is usually 3-4 hours/day in with the youngsters and 1-2

hours/day for preparing the activities.

Each volunteer is entitled to receiving 2 free days/week (typically weekends but in case that

an activity requires work on the weekend the volunteer will be free in the next days) and a

total of 12 days of vacation in the project that you can use as you want.

Language support: The volunteers receive Romanian language lessons 2 sessions per

week for the first 5 months and 1 session per week for the rest of the project.

Communication: each volunteer will receive a Romanian SIM cards for mobile phones

which will be recharged monthly.

Financial aspects: International travel, local transport, accommodation and utility

fees, monthly communication costs, costs related to activities are covered directly by

ACT.

Monthly food allowance: 150 euro/month

Pocket money: 90 euro/month

Valona Elderly Services and STEP Education (Kirkkopalvelut ry)

KIRKKOPALVELUT is a Christian church related national co-operation and service organisation, which aims at building a just society, organises education and care services, and promotes the wellness of people. It is the background organisation of STEP Education and Valona Elderly Services, where the volunteering activities will take place.

VALONA ELDERLY SERVICES provides 24/7 care and support for elderly people. The aim of Valona Elderly Services is to provide good everyday life for elderly people by providing them with services planned according to their needs and wishes. Valona provides supported accommodation, health care, meals, and recreational activities for their elderly customers.

STEP EDUCATION (STEP-koulutus in Finnish) is a private educational learning institution, which offers different professional education, study programs – and also preparatory training, and short courses for people with special needs. Although being a mainstream vocational college, STEP Education offers and develops educational services also for immigrants and people with special needs caused by learning problems, mental disabilities, etc.

Location

The volunteer will mainly work at the Valona Elderly Services, which is located at the campus area of STEP Education in Pieksämäki. Pieksämäki is a small town in Eastern Finland. STEP Education is located 1,5 km away from Pieksämäki town centre. Nearby is a beautiful park, lake, and a small beach, so the location is great for a person who enjoys nature and peacefulness.

Volunteer’s role and tasks

Volunteers will work mainly at the Valona Elderly Services supporting and organising activities for the elderly people living at Valona centre. Volunteers will support the staff in organising recreational activities for the elderly people, for example, related to arts&crafts, or music, or going out for a walk. Volunteers also support the elderly during meal times and with beauty&wellness activities related to hair, hands, or feet. Volunteers can introduce their skills and interests to bring joy to the everyday life of elderly people. Volunteers will NOT have responsibility for any health-related issues (like medication or physiotherapy) and will always work in cooperation with the permanent staff members.

Volunteers will also participate in the activities of STEP Education and especially in the “Arjen Suola” group, where students with special needs study arts&crafts, music, home economics, and physical education. The aim of the studies is to support students’ personal growth and communication and teamwork skills. Volunteers will assist the teachers and instructors with organising educational activities and providing support for students with special needs. During the summertime STEP Education also organises courses and trainings for different groups of people, where volunteers can also participate and assist.

The role of the volunteer is to bring intercultural aspects to the everyday life of the Pieksämäki campus community, especially the elderly people and students with special needs, providing them a possibility for language practice and intercultural learning.

Volunteer’s profile

We are looking for a volunteer who is motivated to work with elderly people and has a respectful attitude toward them. It is important that the volunteer is open-minded and has good social and cooperation skills. Some knowledge or experience about working with elderly people or people with disabilities is an advantage, but more important is an open and positive attitude towards learning to work with these groups of people. It is also important that the volunteer is interested in supporting elderly people and people with disabilities to have good everyday life and learning experiences.

Accommodation, food, and transportation

Accommodation is provided at the student dormitory building situated in the STEP Education campus area. The volunteer will have a private room, but the kitchen, bathroom, sauna, and laundry will be shared with other volunteers and students. Most of the meals will be provided in the student restaurant. When the restaurant is closed during weekends or holidays, the volunteer will receive a food allowance. Volunteer lives and works in the campus area, so no daily local transportation is needed.

Project description

Our ESC projects allow youngsters to experience living abroad whilst learning and contributing to a local community, with support from the European Solidarity Corps fund. This is a great opportunity to join meaningful work and learning while your food, accommodation, travelling, pocket money, insurance, and mentorship are covered.

Main missions are:

GREEN FINGERS Spring volunteering team 2023

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The project will bring together 12 volunteers working as a volunteer team for 51 days, from 15th April to 04th June 2023. Volunteers will promote topics such as environmental protection and the promotion of volunteering. The focus on activity is: 1. garden works with the aim to learn and teach about natural gardening and ecology as well as to maintain school gardens; 2. preparing and organising garden festivals in schools - celebrations of the schools, local communities, and the volunteers in school gardens; 3. local environmental actions - cleaning needed area, and restoring them to their natural state; 4. promoting a healthy lifestyle - by taking part in the vegetarian or vegan challenge.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Volunteers will be accommodated in a local hostel in shared rooms with up to 4-5 other volunteers, shared bathrooms and kitchen, as well as a possibility to do the laundry. Volunteers will be provided with vegetarian/vegan food for lunch as promoting vegetarianism is important to us because of two reasons – sustainability and nonviolence. Costs of travel, accommodation, food, local transportation and activities will be covered by the hosting organisation. The travel costs of participants will be covered up to maximal travel costs for a country according to the European Solidarity Corps rules.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

We are looking for highly motivated, proactive volunteers who want to learn about natural gardening in practice, organise garden festivals and workshops, and clean the local environment, who are not afraid of physical work outside, insects, getting dirty or wet etc. No prior experience is required. This project is for you if you are interested in some of the following subjects: environment, sustainability, vegetarianism, veganism, healthy diet and lifestyles in general, and volunteering. Sustainable lifestyle at Ecocenter Divočina

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The eco-adventure center Divočina can be understood as a place for sharing, meeting, trying alternative technologies, recycling, exchanging ideas, learning languages and protecting biodiversity. The community garden is a place where people of all ages and social classes meet for gardening, lectures and workshops, pizza making or an evening campfire. The garden is also used by professionals working with socially disadvantaged groups, such as children from children's homes. We are searching for two volunteers to help us organize eco-adventure workshops and camps for children and teach English using fun and informal teaching methods, focused primarily on conversation. ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Accommodation is provided right in the eco-adventure center Divočina. Volunteers each have their own private room and shared bathroom. The kitchen is shared with all the people in the center who cook vegetarian dishes together. Internet is available, as well as bicycles for commuting around the city. In case of commuting to a greater distance, the volunteer is reimbursed the fare.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

We provide on arrival training for the volunteers. We introduce them into the local specifics and provide them practical information about our centre, planned activates, our partner organizations and about Malešov (village where the centre is based). We also organize regular meetings, plan activities together and provide feedback a guidance. We try to involve the volunteers into the local community, insure their proper adaptation into the work and evaluate their role within the project. We also provide them space for developing their own project depending on their interests.

Art Mine is a young multicultural NGO based in Austria serving the public interest and common good. We promote art, culture, cultural diversity, interculturality and intercultural dialogue. Our organisation has successfully launched the Tower of Songs (www.towerofsongs.at), a recurring monthly concert series that hosts national and international musicians. It has also initiated the internationale art project See the Big Picture (www.see-the-big-picture.com). Apart from its cultural activities Art Mine has hosted and participated in Erasmus+ mobilities, such as Youth Exchanges, and several ESC volunteers. “I Girasoli” is a NGO involved in solidarity and support towards refugees and migrants. Community Kitchen as project aims to bring together the community around everything related to food, promoting and preserving the local culinary heritage as well as introducing international food culture to our community. About our organisation: Mainly known as the organisers of the annual LGBTIQ+ parade, Ljubljana Pride Association is a youth-led, anti-racist, feminist, LGBTIQ+ association active all year long, fighting against discrimination of all LGBTIQ+ people and their intersectional identities. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The aim of the project is that the volunteers take an active part in the editing and broadcasting of the Mustár FM (89.6) local civilian radio, working in a team (brainstorming, collecting information, editing, technical tasks, etc) and they have the opportunity to make their own regular radio program which presents the culture and language of the country they come from in their own language. Besides they have to record and edit 6 programs which are in English. They will also have a task, namely to provide language club lessons to the residents of the town in their own languages and to take part in the everyday life of our organization which also manages a youth house. The volunteers have to take part and organize events for local and international young people.

Our organization rents flats for the ESC volunteers which are 10-15 minutes away by foot to Mustárház (the venue of their activities). ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Dodo is a Finnish environmental organization founded in 1995. Dodo addresses environmental issues societally, without unnecessary simplification. Current key operation areas are urban gardening and food, urban planning and building, climate action and global development. Dodo is offering a half a year ESC volunteering position starting 1st of April 2023. The ESC volunteer will be working at Dodo’s office in the neighbourhood of Pasila in Helsinki. Just outside the office is the Urban Gardening Center Turntable, where events and activities are arranged during the growing season. The main task of the volunteer would be to help the employees. This includes tasks in urban gardening, communications, event arrangement and office maintenance. The volunteer will be joining Dodo’s Urban Dinners where they can arrange discussions and workshops, and help in the kitchen or in the garden.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

We will discuss, either in emails or in video call beforehand, the tasks, learning-process support and practical arrangements, and continue these discussions during the volunteer period. The volunteer will have a tutor (one of the employees) and a mentor (a person outside daily activities of Dodo) during the whole volunteership to offer help and support both during and after their volunteer period.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Ecovillage Torri Superiore is a 30+ years old community and cultural centre in western Liguria, next to the French border. The volunteers will spend their time in an open "family" of adults and children, well acquainted to sharing time with non-residents, guests and visitors from different countries. The volunteers tasks will focus on the non profit-making aspects of the Ecovillage activities, and will not replace any paid employment. His/her activities will vary greatly and touch many aspects of the different Ecovillage activities, also according to personal inclinations and skills, and the most urgent needs of the moment: farming, trail maintenance, dry walls building, cooking for refugees, and others. The volunteers will share the daily chores, like cooking and cleaning, with the other staff and residents. They will also have the chance to propose activities related with his/her country of origin (films, photos, debates) and offer a personal presentation about their background.

The volunteers will live at the Ecovillage in two private apartments with individual or shared bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom facilities in the apartment are shared with other volunteers. Through this 12-month project we would like to contribute to the personal development of ESC participant and services of DC Hlavička, strengthening of the local community which is in contact with the participant. The participant activities are: work directly with kids in the kindergarten by organizing educational activities and games, teaching English language, bringing ideas and work on personal project of own choice, help with daily running of the kindergarten and with organizing community events, administrative work in office and cooperation with members of the team, cooperate on other activities with the staff. Hosting organization is a small kindergarten in the heart of Bratislava situated in the family house. TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Training is directly related to the skills and knowledge necessary for a particular job. BDC will take care of Orientation training (first days after arrival) and provides a Slovak language course. You are obliged to attend On-arrival and Mid-term training organized by the National Agency. A volunteer can participate in potential training sessions to acquire new skills or socio-environmental awareness useful for future life and job organized by BDC. There are mandatory coaching session meetings provided at least 3 times a year. At the end, a participant receives the Youthpass certificate.

In this project, we are looking for someone ready to take up new challenges, who likes to work with children. He/she should be enthusiastic about growing their personal and professional skills and prepared for unexpected experiences. A participant must be at least 21 years old. Green-it Up is the 2023-2024 YEU Cyprus X ESC project. This project aims beyond bringing youth from different countries together under common European goals and solidarity, to advocate for sustainability and environmental action/s. Through participation in non-formal education and volunteerism, Green-it up promotes awareness of sustainability and climate change and builds the ECO capacity of YEU Cyprus and other NGOs. Moreover, this project aims through the cooperation of youth coming from different backgrounds to create actions towards the elimination or the decreasing of environmentally harmful production/s & consumption/s. The project starts with research on the local needs and the good sustainable practices present already on the island. Then during the development phase, the volunteers will be asked to plan, design and develop activities based on non-formal education methods. Lastly, the project will conclude with the publication of the results of this experience.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The volunteers will be accommodated in a shared mixed-gender flat located in Nicosia city centre (30 mins walk) and most probably will be stay in shared (single-gender) bedrooms with shared cooking, washing, laundry and social facilities. Diocesan Charity České Budějovice (further simply DCHCB) provides support, coordination and methodical assistance to 13 local Charities. The Centre of DCHCB provides its own social services (including the Volunteer Centre) and participates in other projects in the Diocese of České Budějovice as well as abroad. The project supported by the European Solidarity Corps enables us to host foreign volunteers who can participate in four volunteering activities. These activities focus on three target groups: 1) support of older people and people with disabilities, 2) support of homeless people, 3) work with children and youth in the programme Young Caritas, 4) helping people who have been affected by a natural disaster or war. Our activities are opened to all young people (volunteers) including those with fewer opportunities. We want to support the interest in the social issue of multiculturalism and aim to break down the dysfunctional stereotypes in society.

Accomodation for volunteers is guaranteed. We provide accomodation in families connected to DCHCB, dormitories for young people or in private appartments. The educational plan will include: 1) introduction training lead by our staff, 2) Czech language course, 3) the course called „Setkání s charitou“ (DCHCB organizes this course several times a year), 4) digital literacy issues (using digital tools/methods every day), 5) training connected with European Solidarity Corps (National Agency), 5) goals from the volunteer‘s perspective (connected to the key competences of the volunteer). The core of the training will be the everyday interaction with our target groups. Volunteers will develop their communication, manual, language and other soft skills.

Volunteers will organize a series of workshops for the local community in Nurmes, Eastern Finland to celebrate the EU Green Week. They will also learn how Hyvärilä youth centre as Green Key certified destination reduces the negative impact of tourism. We are looking for young people who are eager to raise awareness via social media channels and workshops, who are ready to share their tips on being sustainable, and organize workshops and activities for the local community: everyone from little children to seniors. Volunteers work 30-35 hours per week with two days off. Tasks involve multiple activities and places so you can see a comprehensive image of the rural North Karelian community. Get ready to learn about sustainable tourism and biodiversity, do upcycling workshops, run a social media environmental campaign, meet local community members and organize activities with them.

Volunteers are active with operational activities related to farm work in different sections. - Outdoor fields/gardens and green houses; growing fruits, plants, herbs and vegetables. - Dairy section; making dairy products - Cattle section; maintain the cattle in the stables and around the farm - Restaurant; support the kitchen staff and preparing the restaurant for lunch and events. - Farm shop; support the staff with the small supermarket on the farm ground. This will take place together with other volunteers, clients that face psychological and psychiatric issues and professional staff. Lleure Actiu carries out leisure activity programmes for youth at weekends and during summer holidays. During the school year in Port Pollença and Pollença we offer non-formal education activities. We work from Monday to Friday between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM with kids and teens aged 6 - 16 with fewer possibilities in winter time. Another field where a volunteer will cooperate is the youth office where we give information to the youngsters and help them with their studies and professional career both personally and via our Facebook profile. Apart from that we organise English conversational course for those who would like to practise their language skills. The next part of the project is office work. During July and August we have summer camp activities from 8am until 2pm.

In Casalino di Ligonchio, the main goal of the "Ostello dei Balocchi", a beautiful ecological hostel in the mountains, is to introduce the donkeys to the new generations. The donkey is an animal that for generations has collaborated with humans ensuring their survival and development. They organize visits for groups, schools, but also families, and individuals, trekking, and personalized excursions even for several days (with a stop in the shelters you find in the mountain or in the tent). The donkeys will help you to transport all the necessary equipment (tents, blankets, food, etc.) While the children will have the opportunity to try the thrill of riding these animals along the paths and the old mule tracks of the Apennines. Volunteers will help in the preparation of educational workshops for children, give support during trekkings and Erasmus+ exchanges, and provide assistance in the daily work of the hostel (welcoming of the guests, animal care, maintenance, kitchen duty, etc...).

Through „Youth for a Better Future” we aim to foster social cohesion (a sense of belonging to the local community, European space, equality between community members, participation in decision-making at all levels) and active citizenship, especially among young people. The program include thematic workshops on active citizenship and community engagement, consultation and public debates, advocacy campaigns, workshops on how to take care of environment, correct recycling, greening actions, workshops on sport activities and healthy lifestyles. Volunteers will help in setting up workshops and events in different places from Dambovita region, will participate in the elaboration of communication activities, will give assistance to participants during workshops and will have the opportunity to facilitate sessions, ice-breaking games, energizers. Volunteers will receive pre-departure training which will be provided by support and hosting organization. The volunteers will stay in a big house with 15 shared rooms (https://berkelhoeve.elegast.be/) and will experience a close contact with nature as it’s surrounded by nature. From monday to friday the volunteers will share rooms in the house divided by gender and from friday to sunday they will camp in the gardens of the property. The house will host volunteers from this project and also from others so the multicultural experience and respect will be one of the priorities. The house has common spaces to organise board games, workshops and activities. The building has a kitchen to cook.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

All the participants will be part of a pre-departure meeting where they will receive general information about the activities and things that they need to prepare before coming to Belgium. Along the two weeks the participants will receive training and support from experts in the subject in order to support them to volunteer with knowledge, practice and a purpose. All the volunteers will receive a “Future opportunities” session in the last days with the purpose of helping them in their professional and personal paths promoting more volunteering, training, working and personal growth.

Two weeks to create a bike repair center!

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Do you like cycling? Do you like to craft? Thanks to its many volunteers, the local organization Dynamo has already created several Bike Centers in and around Nancy. These Bike Centers are designed to allow learning and sharing of cycle repair experience. Within the workshop, members have free access to tools and mechanical advice. The idea of these Workshops is also to enable the collection and repair of second-hand bicycles, and to promote green travel. A few months ago, a group of volunteers came together to create and lead a new bike repair center in Jarville-la-Malgrange. For that, they need you! With a dozen other European volunteers, and technical supervisors, you will have two weeks to set up a workshop in the old Jarville trainstation. On the program: Discovery and visit of other Bike Centers; Construction of furniture (shelves, workbenches...), painting, landscaping (compost, revegetation, sign...) and animation in Jarville to make known the new Bike Center.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

You will be accommodated in a solid building, with access to sanitary facilities and a kitchen. Remember to bring a mattress and a sleeping bag, as there are no beds in the rooms. You can install your mattresses wherever you want, with the possibility of setting up single-sex dormitory spaces. All aspects of collective life (shopping, preparing meals, cleaning) will be managed by the volunteers themselves, on the basis of an operation that they will have decided on together (e.g. use planning, formation of pairs, etc.). They will be helped in this task by a community facilitator.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

You will be able to make proposals and decisions about the work to be carried out, and thus become an actor/actress of the project. This workcamp will also be an opportunity for you to discover bicycle mechanics and educational materials to pass on this know-how. There is no need to have skills in bicycle mechanics or other technical skills to come to this site: everyone is welcome! This workcamp can also allow you to improve your level of English and/or French, to learn how to manage community life and to live an intercultural experience.

Odsherreds Efterskole is a Christian self-governing boarding school (efterskole) offering formal secondary education for 9th and 10th grade. There are around 160 students between 15-17 year, who stay at the school for one year. The school is situated in the western part of Zealand, in a small town named Faarevejle. An “Efterskole” is a unique schooling concept found only in Denmark. It is a kind of a private boarding school with government grants that provides Secondary School education for young people, predominately between the ages of 14-17. The school is privately run, and this means that there is an annual fee for parents to send their child/children to the school, but families may apply for government funding depending on their financial status.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Ostello Monte Barro is looking for two volunteers. The two Volunteers will be involved in environmental education activities within the hosting organization. Volunteers will be fully involved in the activities run by Ostello Monte Barro, in particular they will: - assist the ideation and design of eco-sustainable touristic path for visitors, with the goal of widening the offer for foreign visitors - assist in the preparation and implementation of didactic workshops for primary school students: support in the facilitation, conduction of some workshops, support in the group management - design and implement didactic workshops proposed by themselves on art, environment education, creative recycling - check-in of the guests - room preparation and cleaning - support the implementation of summer camps hosted at Ostello Monte Barro, like logistic and workshops on environmental themes -support the communication of the association, also at International level (social media, etc).

The travel costs will be reimbursed up to a certain amount allocated by the European Commission; accommodation, food and tickets for the local transports are provided by the host organization. The volunteer will also receive pocket money monthly (5€ per day).

This project is based on a strong moment: the host of three teams of European volunteers during the summer period. General information

Asociación Juvenil Intercambia began to work as a local youth initiative in 2004, based on the needs and interests of local youth in Málaga. Since then, the organisation has been working as a stable, official association with the mission to inspire youth to take action, realise their goals and act according to their needs. The aim of the organisation is to support and empower youth groups, young people and individuals to be active citizens of their communities, locally and in a European setting. Intercambia is a youth organisation created by young people for young people, that promotes initiatives, provides information and action tools. Our main activities are based on intercultural learning through non-formal education, aiming to promote the participation of young people, in order to reduce racism and to encourage tolerance, respect and solidarity. Our other aim is to promote the knowledge of other European regions and cultures, through direct contact with other young people. Our slogan is «All equal, all different».

Our organisation can offer to the volunteer different learning elements, like how a youth organisation works in Spain and the different working methodologies in relation to the people we are working with. We also offer the opportunity to teach the volunteers new cultures and new situations, as well as to have the possibility to contribute creatively to our work through the exposition of new ideas. A key learning element is to promote youth information. In fact, one of the pilars of Intercambia is to be an information network; we analyse several sources of local, regional, national and international information as well as promote programmes and opportunities for young people. We also give the possibility to develop social and cultural skills: the volunteer has the opportunity to interact with young people from various backgrounds and origins, providing a real insight into how young people live in Spain.

Intercambia has a special interest in the field of new technologies as a tool to promote the integration of young people with difficulties, to facilitate information and to raise the direct participation of youth in the development and dissemination of information. The volunteer will have the opportunity to develop skills in new technologies and media: website, graphic design, edit/shoot videos, control of video cameras, etc.

Our working language is Castilian, so the volunteer will experience the Spanish language as a tool for working. On the other hand, due to our international activities, the volunteers could improve and develop other languages such as English, and even German if they have prior knowledge, through the communication with other European/International organisations.

The volunteer will join our daily workday with the supervision of a mentor/coordinator.

Volunteers will participate in different activities during their project, here summarised:

Promotion of intercultural participation and learning. We manage an information desk in Malaga (Europa Más Cerca), in which local youth are informed about European mobility programmes. Volunteers may help giving information and counselling.

We also help and advise other organisations to develop European programmes. Volunteers also participate.

We also organise seminars and information sessions related to Europe, European Citizenship, as well as other more informal activities (cinema forum, multicultural meetings) in which we diffuse information about the EU, intercultural values and participation. In these campaigns, volunteers may present their European citizenship experience.

We also participate in and organise other YiA actions, so the groups receive pre-departure training with the aim of giving more value to their multicultural experience, so in this training process, EVS volunteers may talk about their experience of living in another culture and country.

Campaigns of promotion of volunteering. We organise workshops and training seminars together with the Andalusian volunteering agency and citizen participation area, at a local and regional scale. Volunteers may collaborate with these activities with the training team in the whole process: contact with organisations, planning training sessions, development and evaluation of sessions and they may also form an active part of them if they want to talk about their experience as a volunteer. Some of these campaigns may include promotion to youngsters at Elementary schools and High schools.

Youth Information. Volunteers will search, select and diffuse local, regional and national youth information with the mentor through the organisation’s web site and electronic bulletins.

We form part of Eurodesk, so volunteers may have access to the information site and help youth using this service to solve their questions about Europe.

The volunteer will have to make a 300 euros deposit that will be reimbursed once the project is ended and the volunteer leave tidy, clean and with no damage in the private room and common areas.

The practical arrangements (working hours, days off per week, holidays): The volunteer works max 38 hours on 5 days per week. There is an entitlement to holidays of 15 labour days or 21 calendar days during the project.

Pocket money: The volunteer will receive the monthly rate foreseen by the Spanish NA, 150€ per month on the first day of the month.

Local transport: Every volunteer will have a chance to choose a BIKE or BUS CARD if it is needed, long-distance activities will be covered by the hosting organization if is it needed.

Language support: The volunteer is entitled to receive language support with an online platform, as stated on the Erasmus+ programme guide

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Starting from the needs identified by us in the local community the project is developed on two main topics: 1. Creating an open and tolerant society – 4 volunteers will be involved in working on the topic of interculturality and acceptance: presentations of the volunteers’ county, meeting in schools and highschools about volunteering, language workshops, book & movie clubs, actions to provide support for marginalized communities, awareness raising campaigns on different topics and activities in public spaces connected to international days. 2. Developing skills needed for young people in the upcoming European job market – 4 volunteers will be involved in working on our ”learnity” and digital skills departments: workshops on writing CVs and motivation letters, role play interviews, workshops on digital skills, cybersecurity, fake news and other activities meant to boost the employability skills of youth from the local community.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Accommodation in rented flats, together with other volunteers and even the room if its needed! The flats are located in the town, have access to public transport, shops and entertainment facilities. The flats are equipped with WiFi, furniture, beds, bed sheets, cutlery, toiletries. The volunteers are responsible for the cleaning and maintaining of the flat. All expenses are paid (and the rent) by the project. Food and pocket money are provided according to ESC guidelines. International transport is also reimbursed up to a limit!

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

We provide logistic support in the activities. The volunteers will also take part in On Arrival Training and Mid Term (if case), organized nationally (these may be done online due to covid restrictions). Apart from these, the volunteers have Romanian online language lessons included in their schedule. project.

The activity aims to respond to the need of diversifying the range of opportunities for

personal and professional development, resulting in increased knowledge, skills and

personal and professional development of volunteers and target group using volunteering

and non-formal education by implementing activities that integrate positive youth

development principles into the formal education system and to promote an increased

Working programme: working hours are flexible and adapted to the schedule of the

target institutions and is usually 3-4 hours/day in with the youngsters and 1-2

Each volunteer is entitled to receiving 2 free days/week (typically weekends but in case that

an activity requires work on the weekend the volunteer will be free in the next days) and a

total of 12 days of vacation in the project that you can use as you want.

Language support: The volunteers receive Romanian language lessons 2 sessions per

Communication: each volunteer will receive a Romanian SIM cards for mobile phones

Microcosmo is currently looking for two volunteers from EU countries or Ukraine that will support the staff members in organic agriculture.

Microcosmo is a 1 hectare certified organic farm that produces about 60 species of vegetables in the open field and in a greenhouse. The company implements organic farming practices to create an environmentally harmonious setting, where external inputs are less and less necessary. Microcosmo also uses agriculture as a tool for social equality, running social agriculture activities with students with disabilities, and employability enhancement paths for youngsters with a disadvantaged background. Social farming activities are growing and increasing in the farm.

Activities:

The volunteer will support the staff members in the following tasks:

Agricultural tasks, following seasonal natural cycles: sowing in containers and in soil, transplanting, watering / irrigation and fertilization, treatments (with products allowed in organic agriculture and/or self-prepared), green pruning and topping, composting, preparation of flower beds with mulching and – where necessary with – supports, collection/washing/packaging, sales (mainly in the company, to joint purchasing groups, in two monthly markets, to school canteens and restaurants), maintenance of equipment and materials, re-organisation of company spaces.

Social farming: hosting/working with vulnerable people, with disabilities and disadvantaged background

Communication and social media (website and Facebook)

Support:

The volunteers will live on La Buona Terra farm, sharing their room with another volunteer of the same gender, together with other volunteers and living in an intercultural context. To get to Microcosmo, they will walk downhill for 20 minutes, catch a train, get down 10 minutes later, then Microcosmo staff will take them to their farm; same likewise for the return.

Food and accommodation, Italian language course, health insurance and mentoring are covered by the European Solidarity Corps programme. Meals can be taken in La Buona Terra, with other volunteers and project participants, and are mostly vegan and vegetarian, for environmental reasons, with some exceptions. Travel expenses will be refunded up until a fixed amount (180 € from 100 to 499 km distance, 275 € from 500 km to 1999 km, 360 € if more).

The volunteers will receive monthly pocket money of 5 € a day, a food allowance and a travel card to go from their accommodation to Microcosmo.

The volunteer will work 35 hours a week with two consecutive free days per week (not necessarily Saturday and Sunday). Working hours will vary according to the months, in order to work in good conditions and avoid very high temperatures. The hours on the field are usually as follows:

From June to September: 7.00-12.00

From October to March: 8.00-12.00

In some weeks, especially in the transplanting period of March-April and August, working hours in Microcosmo will be 6 a day for 2-3 days a week.

The remaining hours include 1 hour for a meeting with the coordinator of the activities, that coaches the volunteers on their tasks; 1 hour for a meeting with the mentor, that evaluates the volunteers’ project, satisfaction and learning process; Italian language course, that will take 4 hours a week for the first 2 months, and other tasks that can include graphic design and work in Fattoria La Buona Terra farm, together with the volunteers of Associazione Kora.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Volunteers are active with operational activities related to farm work in different sections. - Outdoor fields/gardens and green houses; growing fruits, plants, herbs and vegetables. - Dairy section; making dairy products - Cattle section; maintain the cattle in the stables and around the farm - Restaurant; support the kitchen staff and preparing the restaurant for lunch and events. - Farm shop; support the staff with the small supermarket on the farm ground. This will take place together with other volunteers, clients that face psychological and psychiatric issues and professional staff. Volunteers work from Monday until Thursday and execute operational activities.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Accommodation: there is a house available where two volunteers have their own sleeping area; other facilities are shared. The house is at the grounds of a breeding farm for horses in Zutphen, 30-45 minutes cycling distance from the farm in Vorden. There are two volunteers participating in this project. Food: you will receive food allowance and you can purchase a meal when working, but it is also possible to bring your own food. Transportation: you will receive a bicycle. The farm is located in a beautiful rural area in Vorden.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Training will be provided by the national agency: an on arrival training (5 days) and a midterm training (2/3 days). While working at the farm, you will learn how to execute the activities.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

We are looking forward to applications of motivated volunteers who are interested in biodynamic farming and working with people who are in need of extra support. Because of the restrictions of this project, we can only host EU residents. Although we appreciate volunteers who have an educational background in social work, we would like to stress that volunteers only execute operational activities, working together with clients who live at the farm or visit it to work there. It is important that volunteers do not mind to work outside, also when the weather circumstances are not ideal.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The project aims to support youth for a harmonious personal and professional development, especially in terms of career guidance, increasing their socio-professional success.Through the Help Desk YOUth point it will be provided thematic activities, workshops about volunteering, campaigns to inform young people about national / European and international youth opportunities. Also, includes a career guidance programme. Young people will be supported to prepare their CVs, motivation letters, to prepare for an interview, support to look for different youth opportunities and apply. Volunteers will help in setting up the activities, will participate in the elaboration of communication activities, will give assistance to participants, will help them to prepare their CVs, motivation letter and to apply for different youth opportunities. Also they will contribute to the daily activities of host organization within the local community and different places from Dambovita region.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

According to the ESC budget each volunteer will receive 90 Euro/month pocket money and a food allowance of 150 Euro/month. Volunteers will be accommodated in Targoviste area, in a fully furnished place, consisting of a fully equipped kitchen (with refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, washing machine etc.), 2 bathrooms, 3 twin bedrooms, common dining space and common recreation space. The building has Wi-fi connection. You will receive a free subscription for public transport and bicycle. The travel to Romania and back will be reimbursed based on the travel documents.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Volunteers will receive pre-departure training which will be provided by support and hosting organization. At the start of the volunteering program the training will be continued with thematic sessions carried out by volunteer coordinator. Also volunteers will be involved in an official On-Arrival training carried out by the Romanian National Agency for all international volunteers. The hosting organization will support volunteers with proper preparation to carry out the tasks, with mentoring and constant feedback. Lessons of local language will also be given on a regular basis.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

This volunteering position requires interested persons in the field of career guidance and counseling, entrepreneurship, facilitation and psycho-pedagogy. The volunteers must be open-minded, proactive, motivated to learn and develop personally and professionally, also to be sociable persons and eager to work with young people aged 13-20 years old. Volunteers must be open to move in a small city and support the host organization in its daily work with the local community. English skills, B2 – level is required, also willingness to learn Romanian language.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The GEPEC-EdC is an NGO for the Conservation of Nature, fauna and flora. Non-profit and independently, for more than 35 years, we have been working to improve the environment and protect our natural heritage, thanks to the support and commitment of many people. At GEPEC-EdC we focus on reporting actions that harm the environment, while promoting the dissemination and awareness of the local environment through an extensive program of activities. The Naturalist Schools of the GEPEC-EdC are a space for the rogue to learn about nature, study it through play and experience it first-hand.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The volunteers will be living in a house in the countryside and sharing a room (4-6 persons per room) Common spaces (dining room, kitchen, bathroom, open areas) have to be shared. Pocket money: The volunteers will receive pocket money each month: 5 euros per day. Food: the volunteer will be cooking in groups, the food will be supplied by the coordinating organization + a basket of ecological and seasonal vegetables from our insertion company. Transport: if necessary, the volunteer will be offered a second-hand bike. Volunteers can go walking to the project or go by bike.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Nuoret Kotkat (NKK) is looking for two European Solidarity Corps -volunteers for 4-6 months of volunteering in Helsinki, Finland. Finnish Falcon Movement (Nuoret Kotkat) will turn 80 years in 2023. We are looking for two volunteers to work on communications and camp preparations. The theme of the camp is Together. The volunteering period will begin in May and end between late August and November. You will mostly work at the central office in Helsinki but also attend the camp in Nurmes 21.7.–2.8.2023 and other events. The positions consist of versatile communications tasks and can be tailored to meet your special skills and interests. You will work on social media and other communications of the anniversary camp and the organization. You can also help us support the international groups joining the camp and help with the camp program. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

ABC Children's Aid is an Icelandic charity founded in 1988. The aim of ABC is to be a channel for Icelandic people to help children in unprivileged situations in developing countries to get education and home where needed. ABC is focusing on supporting children with education, food, clothing and medical help, through its partners in Asia and Africa. One of the fund raising methods is a second hand store located centrally in the Capital Region of Iceland, and this is where the ESC volunteers will be involved. Volunteer's tasks: Receiving goods for sale, categorize and evaluate all goods ABC receives from the local community; communicating with local customers in the second hand shop; participating in the day-to-day operation and administration, mainly in the second hand shop; learning about the benefits of a circular economy, with the possibility to initiate projects related to the reuse of used goods, promotion and awareness raising of a circular economy.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The volunteers will live in our volunteer house which accommodates up to 8 international volunteers. Each volunteer has a private room, kitchen, living room and bathrooms are shared with the others. Accommodation is in central Reykjavík. AUS will give food allowance. Local Transport: AUS will provide a bus card to the volunteers valid for the duration of her/his stay which covers the whole of Reykjavík. Public transport is easy near both the volunteer's residence and office.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

A short on arrival training will be organised by AUS ICYE Iceland. ABC children help will also organise a task related training. A compulsory on-arrival as well as mid-term training will be organised by the local National Agency.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Our organisation "Outdoor Artists" has been setup back in 2012, with the aim to promote arts and cultural education. Since then we have hosted a good number of volunteers who helped us with various tasks, which include: Events co-ordination, running of workshops for both adults and kids, space maintenance, On-line digital marketing, Leaflet and poster designs for our activities, communications and also with other tasks which involve building up critical thinking and creative communities.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

With reference to accommodation, you will be staying in a twin room with a prospect volunteer. While we are flexible with the accommodation, we will try our best to find you the best option close to the space where you will be volunteering. With reference to the food, it is self-catering while we will help the volunteers arrange with a public transport card so as they can travel for free using the local bus during their stay.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

A 2 week training will be provided together with an implementation of an activity. The training involves the induction day, where participants are thought the operations of the organisation, together with a timetable. They will be given training with reference to the implementation of the activities from concept to realisation. These include but are not limited to: co-ordination, marketing, communications an design.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Preference is given to volunteers who have a sending organisation are between the age of 24 and 30 and possess or are studying for a degree related to the arts and/or culture. Must have a very good command of the English language, are able to communicate and have a sense of belonging. Other skills which would help us ease the process of choice are an artistic eye and the interest in making use of digital software which include Canva, and Adobe After Effects. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg is the Luxembourgish Fairtrade labelling association, founded in 1992, member of the Fairtrade International organization (www.fairtrade.net), supported by over 30 member associations from charity, environmental, social and religious movements. Our aim is raising awareness of the Luxembourgish population towards social conditions of producers in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. 3 activity fields within our project named “Fairtrade, the new normal”: 1.pedagogical projects: participative workshops for children and youngsters in schools, day-care facilities and youth association’s homes. 2.assistance to various awareness campaigns, fairs and markets where we explain Fairtrade principles to people of any age groups, organization of press conferences and cultural projects. 3.office-based activities: drafting, publication and regular up-date of Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg’ newsletters, social media (Facebook, Instagram) and other daily news related activities.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Accommodation is free of charge for the volunteer. It is a room in a living community shared with other volunteers at 2, rue de Wecker in L-6832 Betzdorf. Phone +352 719 319 9810. A food allowance of 300 € is paid monthly to the volunteer’s bank account. As it is a lump sum, the volunteer is not obliged to deliver any justification. Public transport is free of charge in Luxembourg. Travel to Luxembourg is organized by mutual agreement between the volunteer and the hosting organisation, prepaid by the volunteer and reimbursed upon receipt by the hosting organisation.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Mentoring and support upon arrival and during the entire voluntary service are provided by the director, the office staff and the external mentor/tutor. To prevent any project related crisis, the volunteers meet on a regular basis with the director of Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg and the team. Various in-house trainings are provided by the director and the office staff. The volunteers usually start each new project in a team and are always assisted by the supervisor and the office staff. The volunteer’s personal well-being is assured by the tutor/mentor, whom they meet personally on a regular basis.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Motivation to work independently, be open minded towards people from all over Europe and have an idea about voluntary service (wanting to help, making new experiences). Eager to learn something new in a multilingual environment in Luxembourg. Basic interest in fair trade and in North–South relations in general is useful. French knowledge is helpful but not a necessary requirement. Our main office languages are Luxembourgish, German and French! Our volunteer activities apply to all age ranges (18-30 years). We also strongly encourage the application of more mature candidates (age 25 or above).

The Good Seed Project - Cultivating Peace and Solidarity in Luleå

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The Mustard Seed Project is a volunteer initiative to cultivate community, solidarity and peace in our city. Volunteers in our project will join together in the life and community of our church (EFS church in Lulea) striving together to create a community of hospitality for all people. Our work is based on the life and teachings of Jesus and we want to communicate God´s love to everyone we meet. The Mustard Seed Project includes three main themes of work: 1. Hospitality for people living on the margins of society that come to our church, 2. Gardening - raising organic and locally grown food to serve at our meals, 3. Youth outreach - building relationships with youth and children in our community and helping to lead our youth and children´s ministries. The work will be both social (welcoming and interacting with people of all different backgrounds and ages) as well as practical (preparing meals, organizing donations, harvesting and preserving food, dishwashing and cleaning).

Volunteers will live in a common house together with an established Christian community made up of about 8 other members of our organisation. The community shares a common daily life including a shared dinner every evening, house-chores, garden work and prayer. Each week there is a house meeting to plan the cooking schedule and other logistics. Each volunteer will have their own bedroom but will share toilet, living room and kitchen. Food and pocket money will be provided according to the program rules. Volunteers will work 30-38 hours a week and have 2 vacation days per month.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Volunteers will be given formal and informal training in things like how to reach out to vulnerable groups in our society, conflict resolution, and environmental care and gardening. Volunteers will be trained in how to effectively lead activities in our youth ministries such as group discussions, prayer, and team-building exercises. Volunteers will also be given space for both personal reflection and prayer as well as group reflection, and mentorship. We want our volunteers to see their time with us as a unique opportunity to grow as persons and as children of God, emotionally and spiritually.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Kooperativet Fjället is an NGO that runs leisure activities for young people aged 10-20 years old in Rannebergen, Gothenburg Sweden. Our aim is that open youth activities are conducted as a learning process based on young people's participation and influence. At the youth centre the volunteers will work to engage and inspire young people take part in and to create activities. The volunteer will initiate own projects/activities according to abilities and preferences and develop this together with/ for the young people in the youth center. It may be sports, cultural, crafts activities, theatre, music or other. Volunteers will also be working in the daily activities such as card games, ping-pong, basket, baking, handicrafts etc. Volunteers will also work to disseminate information on European opportunities for young people and young adults in Rannebergen and in Angered in general. The volunteers will also support the work of sending young adults to volunteer projects within the ESC.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Living arrangements: 2 Volunteers will accommodate in a shared apartment within 5 minutes walking distance from the youth centre. The volunteers must be aware that the apartment is shared and they will need to manage this well. Financials: Volunteers get a monthly payment around 330€ per month (including pocket money) that should cover food and leisure activities. Volunteers will receive a buscard that allows travel within the whole of Gothenburg including boats to archipelago. Accommodation, local transport, international travel, visa is covered by the European Solidarity Corps program.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

The volunteers are always booked into On-arrival training and Mid-term training, which are held in Stockholm by the Swedish National Agency. We encourage the volunteers to stay over the weekend in Stockholm at own cost in conjunction with these trainings. The volunteers will receive Swedish language classes in nearby Hammarkullen in Angered, two times a week which is part of the work hours. The volunteers are also invited to various possible training opportunities within the KEKS network when such opportunities are given. We always encourage and promote contact and networking.

The main goal of the volunteering will be the promotion of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Programmes, their opportunities, solidarity as a value, volunteering, etc. In addition, we will raise awareness for climate change, sustainable lifestyle and our CO2 footprint, how to live in a greener, more eco-friendly way and to respect the nature, learn how to manage food waste, etc. All these will be organised through weekly offline and online Eco events, dissemination of fliers, brochures, info-tables, Promo visits at schools and universities.

The flat has all the necessary facilities for living. NSG office has a nice working space in the center of the town.

In den Sommerferien findet eine Jugendbegegnung mit unseren langjährigen Partner*innen aus Guadalajara (Mexiko) und Johannesburg (Südafrika) statt.

Als internationale Gruppe werden wir ein interkulturelles Projekt für Kinder vorbereiten und uns mit unserem Programm auf eine Reise durch verschiedene Waldheime und Feriencamps der AWO machen. Essen und Schlafen werden wir dabei in den Waldheimen und Camps, in einfachen Unterkünften oder auf Zeltplätzen.

Es warten jede Menge Spaß und Action auf dich. Und zudem kannst du noch deine Sprachkenntnisse (englisch und spanisch) auffrischen, viel über Mexiko, Südafrika und auch deine eigene Kultur erfahren.

Who? Youngsters aged between 18 and 30 years from EU countries, able to communicate in

English, which will be working language. We are open to all volunteers, however, qualities that we

consider to be necessary and advisable for volunteers are communicativeness, creativity, positivity,

ability to work in a team, as well as independently assume their responsibilities, to participate in

decision-making processes by adding their own ideas and suggestions to improve organization's

activities. We would prefer you to be interested in organizing events and leading some workshops

for youngsters in our youth studio or outdoors, communication, photography, editing and filming

videos, social networks. We don't ask you to have specific knowledge in these topics, but you

should have the desire and get ready to learn doing all those things. 

What? Baltic Regional Fund (BRF) is a non-governmental organisation. It was born in Riga, but

Europe is its home. BRF’s energetic team organises activities all around Latvia and participates in

many projects on European level. The organisation works with people from different age,

education, social status and cultural background. Youth Studio BaMbuss is an initiative of BRF. It

is a special place for youngsters, where they can develop social, artistic and professional skills.

Volunteers will be actively involved in all BRF and #jsBaMbuss activities and will organise their

Kids in Action 10-United in Solidarity ESC volunteering project will host 6 volunteers who will work in 8 organizations active in the field of youth work, education, and social care in and around the town of Škofja Loka, Slovenia between August 2023 and August 2024. We still look for 3 MALE VOLUNTEERS (to ensure gender balance in the group), who would mainly assist at the work of Day Care Centers for Children and Youth, the Project Learning for Young Adults Program and primary schools. ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The volunteers will be accommodated in the flat located on the main square of Škofja Loka, old historical town with about 13000 inhabitants, located 25 km NW from Ljubljana. Each volunteer will stay in single bedroom with shared cooking, washing, laundry and social facilities. Volunteers will cook by themselves, monthly food allowance will be provided (196 €). They will be also entitled to receive a monthly allowance of 150 €. To each of the volunteers, the bike will be provided and tickets for public transportation (if needed).

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Przystań Śmidowicza 49 is a part of the network of Neighbourhood Centres in Gdynia – spaces for the local inhabitants where they can invent and implement their ideas, exchange passions with others and integrate. These are places of developing ideas, broadening interests, establishing new friendships, tightening bonds and intergenerational integration. Anyone willing can lead classes, take part in meetings organized by neighbours or simply drop by for coffee or tea. Przystań is a place fuelled with the creativity and commitment of the residents - that is why in the neighbourhood centres, among others, are organized: sports activities, tailoring, culinary activities, meetings with travellers, neighbourhood parents' clubs chats, and even board games or karaoke tournaments. We take care of a friendly atmosphere and a welcoming attitude towards neighbourly integration. Everyone is welcome here and we all treat each other with respect.

Volunteer will be provided with monthly Pocket money and tickets for buses in Gdynia to go to work. Volunteer will share a room with 2-3 other volunteers in a rented flat. Gdynia ESC volunteers live in a few flats in different districts of the city and work in more than 10 different locations (libraries, NGOs, neighbourhood centres etc). Together with their mentors (local volunteers) they create a large, international and lively community of around 35 young people.

Volunteering in the communication of a butterfly house

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The volunteer will be involved in the communication of the activities of the Butterfly House: Support the staff in the shooting, editing and publishing of photo of animals and vegetables inside the Butterfly House and the environment of the surroundings; help in the maintenance of the huge photographic archive of Farfalle nella Testa; support the staff in the video production: planning, shooting (light, audio, video), post-production; follow the publishing of information and media content in the websites and social media channels; take care of the daily interaction activities in the websites and social media channels; help in reading the statistic and planning the media strategy and media campaigns; take part in the graphic design of all the different materials produced by Butterfly House and Farfalle nella Testa; after an initial phase of knowing the Butterfly House and the context, the volunteer will be encouraged and supported to enrich House with their ideas and experiences.

The volunteer will be hosted in a three-floor house with a garden, located in Bordano. An interesting life experience in a rural area, on a farm where we develop an international activity centre with a lot of challenges that encourage participants to get entrepreneurial skills, independence, personal power offering a dynamic environment, a complex of activities where everyone can find their place and contribute. The tasks are mainly in organising two Festivals ”Romania de mana” which consist in presenting Romanian traditions and customs and „Gala Traficantului de Cultura International”, which promotes contemporary arts and experimental works of art from all over the Europe.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

IA's objectives as a lead organisation in the ESC is part of our strategy in the field of youth (2021-2023). It fosters a process of mutual empowerment of the volunteers and the organisation with a view to: - Engage youth in sociopolitical dialogue and enhance its effectiveness in influencing decision making; - Empower youth and increase employment opportunities through training, skills’ development, and participation; - Confront interpersonal and intergroup stereotypes and enhance intercultural understanding among youth. Volunteers' workload is predefined by a detailed schedule in each separate project. Generally, 6 working hours per day, 5 days a week, and 2 days off per month and on National holidays is the rule. TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Participants will follow the curriculum of the Inter Alia Council of Members and the on-arrival and mid-term training offered by the Greek National Agency. Ostello Monte Barro is looking for two volunteers. The two Volunteers will be involved in environmental education activities within the hosting organization. Volunteers will be fully involved in the activities run by Ostello Monte Barro, in particular they will: - assist the ideation and design of eco-sustainable touristic path for visitors, with the goal of widening the offer for foreign visitors - assist in the preparation and implementation of didactic workshops for primary school students: support in the facilitation, conduction of some workshops, support in the group management - design and implement didactic workshops proposed by themselves on art, environment education, creative recycling - check-in of the guests - room preparation and cleaning - support the implementation of summer camps hosted at Ostello Monte Barro, like logistic and workshops on environmental themes -support the communication of the association, also at International level (social media, etc).

"WANTED: creativity for youth" focuses on cultural participation in all aspects. The project aspires to stimulate art and cultural habits with children and young people. Do you love nature and being outdoors? Do you want to make a difference for nature and the climate? Than you are the volunteer we are looking for! The visitor center ‘Landschap De Liereman’ is located near Turnhout, a small city in the north of Belgium. The center is connected to ‘Landschap De Liereman’ one of the oldest recognized nature reserves in Belgium and operates under the flag of Natuurpunt, the largest nature organization of Flanders. We stand up for nature and biodiversity and strive to protect open space and the quality of the environment. You will participate in the daily activities of the visitor center and the reserve 'Landschap De Liereman. This means helping in the bar and kitchen during the opening hours, working in nature and supporting our volunteers with nature conservation and restoration, taking care of our animals (such as horses, ponies and Galloway cows), developing educational activities for kids, schools and other target groups.

You will stay in a cosy bungalow surrounded by nature on a campsite in Turnhout, near to the city center and various nature reserves. You will be co-housing with another ESC volunteer. European Solidarity Corps: 14 opportunities for you!

“Let’s live Europe in Sarthe” is a collective ESC project in the region of Le Mans, in France. The project starts at the 23rd of August for 11 month until end of July 2024. It involves 14 volunteers in different places of volunteering, with a common goal: to educate on Europe, cultural diversity, mobility, and help people to get more easily in touch with Europe in making it more concrete by exchanging with people from different European countries. We strongly believe that meeting others can help strengthening open-mindedness, equality, diversity, and citizenship, and our team of volunteers is taking on this challenge all year long!

The House of Europe (“Maison de l’Europe” in French) manages several European mobility projects, in particular European volunteering projects (European Solidarity Corps). Among them we can find the hosting of volunteers at the Maison de l’Europe every year. It is an EU awareness-raising mission. We also host volunteering projects which take place in various places such as the 6 rural boarding schools in our region Sarthe (the MFR), the Joseph Roussel high school, the “Les Horizons” high school (all above are vocational education centers), the municipalities of Le Mans, Rouillon and Saint-Georges du Bois, as well as the social center of Le Grand-Lucé, and more new places every year!

The role of the House of Europe

The House of Europe has a coordination role and provides the financial and administrative management of the project. Administrative work, management of accommodation and transport for the volunteers, payment of allowances, are as well organized by the House of Europe. Questions about daily life at the volunteering place, the missions and the activities are managed by the host institution and the tutor. The House of Europe has a supporting and mediating role. For every project, the volunteers have a tutor in each place where they daily volunteer.

Aims of the projects

The goals of the different projects are very similar: the idea is to make people in our region Sarthe aware of the European Union, to encourage interculturalism and openness to others, and to make the (young) people you work with aware that European mobility is also possible for them. By welcoming European volunteers all year, the public of the different places will be able to deconstruct their prejudices and be less afraid of differences, while learning to interact with someone from another culture.

All the volunteers are linked to develop common projects and enhance the presence of European volunteers in the region of Sarthe.

The project will last a total of 59 days during the summer period from 04 June to 03 August 2023. We will select as many as 44 volunteers from different EU member states, including Italy. The call is open only to residents of EU countries + Ukraine. The main highlight of the project is an organized itinerant group action in different areas of Sicily, intended to intimately acquaint with its customs and traditions, savour its soul and contribute to addressing various challenges! The aim of the project is to raise awareness about health prevention and healthy and positive lifestyles, using the tools of Non-Formal Education, in peripheral areas of Europe. Candidacies coming from not listed countries will not be evaluated.

Aim of our organization is to promote the idea of ​​volunteering and civic activity for the benefit of organizations, institutions and people as well as comprehensive support for people and institutions interested such activity. We are the only organization of this kind in Gdańsk and the only one supporting volunteering in the regional area. We are looking for 1 motivated person TO SUPPORT our organization in daily activities. Although we are not EUROPEAN VOLUNTEER CAPITAL 2022 anymore we keep up the good work! Therefore you can work in the field of: Kindegarten and SCHOOL VOLUNTEERING, GDANSK VOLUNTEER WEEK, charity events, international projects, ESC team volunteering projects as well as PROMOTING our initiatives and DEVELOPMENT of our website and SOCIAL MEDIA (inlc. graphic design, video editing, photography). PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Our projects are generally open to young people who want to become volunteers in the 18-30 age range. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Gdańsk Ecological Volunteering Center is a new project created in 2020, by the Regional Volunteer Centre. GCWE was created as a result of the need to activate the local community to act in favor of global challenges, the negative effects of which we feel (or will soon) at the local level. Climate change is happening right now on our eyes. Our goal is to build a community of eco-volunteers and eco-leaders. We will encourage local society to act, participate in campaigns and sharing knowledge. For this project we would like to host one volunteer who will take part in this initiative. We offer You not only the opportunity to learn about the functioning of a local volunteer centre, but also to co-create activities and initiatives, to create innovative solutions in the field of ecological volunteering, working with students and other local volunteers no matter the age. Key aspects of the project are: EDUCATION, PROMOTION, NETWORKING, ECO-AWARENESS, SUSTAINABILITY.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

The transport to/from Gdańsk will be covered according to ESC guidelines. During you stay in Gdansk you will be accommodated in a fully equipped apartment, which you will share with another 2 volunteers. You will receive pocket money: 4 euro per day + money for food. Health insurance will be provided for the duration of the volunteering period. You will also receive a monthly public transportation card to travel around the city. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

Your tasks will primarily include supporting the implementation of the LGBTIQ+ volunteering program activities. You will be supporting the day-to-day office work, which entails the promotion of volunteering opportunities, official correspondence, the organization of events, carrying out workshops, as well as logistical and administrative support. The work will be carried out mainly in the office or in the field (including going to other public events or protests). About our organisation: Ljubljana Pride Association is mainly known as the organiser of the annual LGBTIQ+ Pride Parade. The purpose of the Ljubljana Pride Festival is to give space and a greater voice to LGBTIQ+ artists, topics, demands, organisations as well as to demand political and social change. We are a youth-led, anti-racist, feminist, LGBTIQ+ association that is active all year long and is fighting the discrimination of all LGBTIQ+ people and their intersectional identities.

Call for 17 Schuman Volunteers to support 9 different hosting organizations in Poland is open! Start your European journey with us and become a volunteer in Poland within European Solidarity Corps programme from October 2023 until July/September 2024.

One project connecting 9 different opportunities: youth work at schools, supporting European and intercultural education in Polish schools, assisting at kindergartens for children with disabilities, supporting the development of kids from local communities and others. You can support one of 9 hosting organizations.

Practicalities

According to the ESC programme rules, accommodation, pocket money, food allowance, local transport, transport to/from the project, insurance, language course, visa costs are provided. Volunteer’s profile

Volunteers aged between 18 and 30 years, legally residing in one of the participating and partner countries. We seek a balance of varied ages, genders and nationalities amongst our volunteers. All candidates must be registered in the European Solidarity Corps database.

No specific knowledge, skills or experience is required as the necessary ones can be acquired during the project. We are not looking for experienced volunteers but those who would learn a lot during the service in a particular hosting organization and are strongly motivated. Will to learn Polish is welcome.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The FRMJC in a youth association who provide technical and pedagogical support to other associations and schools in the departments of Marne, Ardenne and Aube in the fields of youth empowerment, citizenship, culture... The mission of the volunteer will be in the "youth and citizenship" sector and focus on 3 parts: -in support of the animators the volunteer will take part in actions about "media and information education" : animation of educational games for children and teenagers, - develop personal project on the topic of media and information education within our network He/she will also take part in the organisation's activities and the network's main events. With other European volunteer and French volunteer he/she will work on common project of their choice related to our missions On Monday, collective times will be dedicated to the follow up of the mission and training with 2 to 5 other volunteers, the mission will be on 33h per week with free week end.

The volunteer share a flat in Reims with other volunteer.
